ElmCityParent.com believes strongly in families giving back to their community by volunteering their time and making donations. Families can make a difference in their community without it necessarily being a big time commitment or expense.
Set an example for your children by demonstrating different ways to give, through donating toys and clothes or by helping serve meals during the holidays. You will be teaching your children empathy and compassion.

You may not be able to help the whole world, but you can make a difference in your own community. --Elizabeth P. Carter
Our organization is an "all volunteer" run charity. There is not a paid staff or a huge budget, but we do have so many needs right now to keep it going in this struggling economy.
Monetary donations is what we need; your donation of any amount goes right into the making and delivering of a CUREchief and our volunteer center operation.
Materials, packing supplies, and shipping costs. CUREchiefs are sent complimentary to those in need. We have a volunteer center in Cheshire, the space is wonderful and is donated and owned by Stop & Shop! CUREchief is in need of donations also to keep this going, heat, phone, internet, etc.
Thanks you in advance for your support, and spread the word~
Volunteers to help with data collection or helping with registration during the week would be appreciated; kitchen items including mops, cleaning supplies, pots and pans are also always needed.
We need tutors for the 150 students on our waiting list (especially on Mondays between 4 and 7). We also need funding for educational materials as well as for general operating expenses. Donations of new and gently used children's books are always welcome!
