One of the many benefits of advertising on ElmCityParent.com is the personal attention you will receive. Because we are online, we have no print deadlines to comply with and you can change the wording, images and details of your listing at any time. We work with you to get the most visibility for your events, classes and promotions. Your business will have an opportunity to post special discounts on our local perks and be included in our newsletters that reach New Haven area families. ElmCityParent.com connects with the community and wants your business to have a positive experience and the best opportunity to reach the market you are targeting. We offer the most affordable localized advertising and will work with you to put together the best package to meet the needs of your business. Business Listings:
ElmCityParent.com Local Resources directory for businesses & non-profits.
*2008 listing fees are based on a 1 year contract.
Basic Package / $250 year ($0.68/day)
- Your listing will appear under all applicable categories.
- The listing includes: business name, address, phone number and paragraph description.
- You will receive a link back to your site.
- Access to post calendar events.
- Post discounts on local perks.
- Your business will be posted on our homepage for a minimum of 2 weeks and posted in a newsletter.
- Invitation to annual ElmCityParent.com Mixer (for listed businesses & sponsors only).
Non-Profit Package / $150 year ($0.41/day)
- Same benefits as the basic package for non-profit organizations only.
- Opportunity to post needs & volunteer opportunities on Families Giving Back & be profiled as the "Non-Profit Spotlight".
Support Package / $100 year ($0.27/day)
- Same benefits as the basic package.
- This is for daycare, preschool programs, private tutors & churches only.
- Also applies to Summer camps that do not offer other programs throughout the year.
Premium Package / $325 year
This is a great package if you do not have your own website.
- Same benefits as the Basic Package.
- You will receive a link to another "personal" page that includes your logo, menu, a more detailed description and/or a schedule.
- The initial set-up fee is $75 for the personal page.
- Please send an email with the text, logos, photos that you would like on your personal page.
With any of the above packages we will post all your calendar events for an additional $100/year.
Sponsorship Packages
We have limited site and newsletter sponsorships available.
Newsletter Fees:
Increase your visibility with newsletter ads.
Bi-Weekly eNewsletter Advertising /$75 per newsletter ($125 without a paid listing)
- Your business logo & description or predesigned ad with a link to your site.
- Pre-pay for 4 newsletters - you will receive 15% off (non-profits 25% off).
- Format Size: 140w x 240h (jpg) - Resolution/DPI 72 pixels / Logo only 140 x 160h plus 15-30 words.
- Fill out online contract to submit your ad and specify run week in comments section.
- Please email your logo in .jpg format.
We Can Sponsor Your Events:
Reach your target audience by having ElmCityParent.com provide In-Kind Media Sponsorship for your event or utilize our Non-Profit Media Package!
In-Kind Sponsorship
- Promotion in 2 newsletters - value $250.
- Listing on the ElmCityParent.com event calendar with your logo - value $250
-Other options include--
- Rotation at the top of the Event Calendar page as a "Feature Event" (1 week) - value $250
- A personal Event page for 1 week on the site - value $500.
- A logo & link on our Families Giving Back page for 1 week - value $250
- A description on Non-Profit Wish List for 2 weeks to promote your organization’s needs - value $500

- A "Current Highlights" listing on our Weekly Updates or homepage (1 week) value $650.
- A "Red Bar Link" on every page of site (1 week) - value $650

- An opportunity to give away tickets to your event for our newsletter contests for even more visibility. (Non-profit will provide a minimum of 4 tickets to event.)

Non-Profit Event Media Support Package / $150
Due to limited in-kind sponsorships, we also offer a reduced rate package to help promote your event.
PAYMENT: The fee is $150 plus tickets to event & ElmCityParent.com bookmarks distributed.
- Promotion in 2 newsletters (value $250)
- Listing on the ElmCityParent.com event calendar with your logo (value $250)
- Special event page if requested (flyer needs to be provided). (value $500)
Logo & Ad Specs:
sizes below are the max, you can make them smaller (resolution: 75 dpi)
- Logo Only for Newsletter: 140w x 160h
- ElmCityParent Weekly Newsletter AD that includes Logo & Text: 140w x 240h
**premier space (additional fee): 200w x 200h
- Event Logo for Newsletter calendar section: 110h x 110w
- Sponsor Logo for site: 130w x 86h
- Special Event / Personal Page Flyer: 600w (up to 800h)
Misc. Details:
- We can post all your CALENDAR EVENTS! If you would like us to post all of your calendar events for you, the fee is $150/year. Ask us for details.
- Payments: Businesses & Non-Profits need to pay for 12 months in advance to receive the listed package rates. Package prices are based on a one year contract.
- If you would like to have your listing split into 2 payments, there is a 10% surcharge added to your listing fee.
- If you would like to pay on a monthly basis, it is $75 per month. (This cannot be applied to the annual fee if you decide to convert.) The reason we do not encourage the monthly format is that it is not a service to the parents. Our site works because parents know they can find resources year round.
- Rates are effective August 1, 2008. Rates are subject to change without notice.
